Stud Success
Stallions from Fohlenhof Ebbs dominate all important breeding events in the world. As owner of Fohlenhof the Haflinger Breeders' Association Tyrol has always committed itself to purebreeding. In Tyrol purebreeding is an absoltuely honest term, which means neither 1.56 nor 0.12% foreign blood, but purebred back to the founding stallion Folie without foreign blood since the founding of the breed.
Thus, since the beginning, horses from the Tyrolean Association, have won, with both stallions and mares, each World and European show that takes place every five years. The stables of the stud house almost all living World and European champions, naturally the reigning all class World Champion stallion and also twice all class European Champion stallion, liz.200/T Abendstern.
Amongst the mares at Fohlenhof are the all class winner mares from 1995 Rimalda, and Dorata from 2000 as well as the all class European Champion from 1998, Aisha. In addition innumerable class winners can be seen. The breeding dominance of the Tyrol purebred Haflinger can be seen in many generation successions directly in the stables. Up to 5 generations, of which almost all generations are constantly amongst the best horses in the world and this with several mare families and stallion lines. The most important mother lines are based on the mares, Rikka, Annette, Dorlis and Muschi. All 7 blood lines are represented amongst the stallions and amongst them almost all have been successful at shows. The breeding horses of the stud are not only used for breeding but are also used daily for sport. Almost all champion horses can also be seen at the Friday evening show, whether in riding, driving or other equestrian sports. Many of the champions are also successful in competitive sports, several Tyrol and Austrian Champion titles have been won by the breeding horses. At Fohlenhof the Haflinger demonstrates his allround properties as a breeding and at the same time sports horse.
