Haflinger World Show, 2. – 6. June 2010 Fohlenhof Ebbs
With over 1,000 Haflinger horses the largest horse breed show in the world offers a breed event and show with an international flair under the motto "The Golden Horse with the Golden Heart".
Ebbs and the „World Breed Haflinger" – an inseparable team
Every five years the World Haflinger Federation allocates a Haflinger World Show; due to the excellent events in the past the Haflinger Breeders' Association Tyrol has again been selected to arrange the Haflinger World Show 2010. This international highlight from 2.- 6. June 2010 again puts Ebbs and the Haflinger at the centre of all horsebreeders worldwide.
The Haflinger Breeders' Association Tyrol was founded in 1920 and since 1947 has been regularly holding large international shows until today. Since 1990 all four World Shows so far have taken place at the World Haflinger Centre every five years. Until now only collections of continously bred Haflinger purebred lines all the way back to the beginning of the breed were exhibited with a great support programme and the fifth Haflinger World Show 2010 will be no different.
The Haflinger World Show deserves it name and international importance rightly, as in 2005 more than 750 Haflinger horses from at least 15 nations, not just Europe, are expected to exhibited in 2010. In addition there will 350 foals and show programme horses so that more than 1,000 Haflinger will be in Ebbs thus making the Haflinger World Show the largest breed show in the world. Especially impressive is the large stable tent with room for 800 horses. Of course during this breed show only purebred Haflingers will be shown according to the regulations of the World Haflinger Federation and the Tyrolean Association and as a world novelty all horses will be shown in family collections to demonstrate the safeguard of the breed over generations.

For the innumerable Haflingers and exhibitors there will again be a tent site, for the visitors there is the Fohlenhof Arena with a roofed over grandstand for 4,000 people and a 1,550 m² exhibition area. There will be parking for visitors' cars in the immediate vicinity of Fohlenhof. The Haflinger World Show can be visited during any weather as all audience areas are roofed over and everything is close together in the middle of the stud farm.
Visitors can observe the judging of the horses all day. Daily in the arena the indivdual World Show class champions and as highlight the best mare and stallion in show are chosen. In the exhibition area there will be a horse accessory fair with companies and their products and souvenirs. Naturally there are also Tyrolean specialities and a large VIP area where Tyrolean hospitality will take care of the visitors.
Over several days a 2 hour international show will demonstrate how the Haflinger can be used for all purposes. Different nations fascinate the audience with demonstrationms typical for their country. The main focus on the riding side will be different items of dressage, but of course there will be other riding sytles like western and side-saddle. Vaulting, roman riding, groundwork on the long rein, horseball and much more can be seen as well as different driving show interludes with from one to six horse carriages. Traditional displays will also honour the 100 year history of the Haflinger. Action, fun, entertainment and sport will presente in this unique show exclusively by one horse breed and the Haflinger will demonstrate its unique versatility. Like the previous Haflinger World Shows again perfect Haflinger fascination will be seen in the participants and audience. A total of almost 30 different programme items from 10 nations are planned making the show along with the breeding a complete breed world record.

In 2010 the largest show in the world will not only demonstrate the Haflinger as a world breed but above all prove the the breeding success of a purebred breed over 20 generations and the suitability of the Haflinger for sport and above all for leisure in an impressive show that will be the best horse event of the year. A visit will leave every horse friend with remaining impressions and memories.
