The golden horse with the golden heart Ebbs in the Tyrol and the " World Haflinger Breed" – an inseparable team. Every 5 years the World Haflinger Federation stages a Haflinger World Show. On the basis of the outstanding events in the past, the Tyrolean Haflinger Breeding Association again applied to hold this greatest Haflinger event in the world and was entrusted with the organization of the Haflinger World Show 2005 by the Federation. From 25 to 29 May Ebbs and the Tyrolean Haflinger Breeding Association will thus be the focal point for Haflinger breeders worldwide. From the first major breeding event in 1947 until today nothing has changed in respect of families of mares, stallion breeding collections and generation sequences. |
Ebbs has again been chosen as venue by reason of the Tyrolean Haflinger Breeding Association's exemplary organization of previous international shows and all 3 World Shows hitherto with superb background programme and outstanding presentation. |

It
has again been agreed not to admit individual horses, but only
purebred Haflingers as part of a collection. The
Haflinger World Show well deserves its name. Some 750 Haflingers from over
15 - not only European - nations are expected plus approx. |

All exhibiting countries will again have the possibility of participating in this show with their own progeny (see rules of entry). |

Only
purebred Haflingers will be admitted in accordance with the regulations of
the World Haflinger Federation.
At
the international breeding show in Ebbs in 1985 a total of 291 horses were
exhibited, these including 120 mares with foals. There
will again be a special tent city for the countless Haflingers and
exhibitors.

Breeding work will again be demonstrated impressively at the 2005 Haflinger World Show. Breeding evaluation will, as always, be carried out according to the rules of the World Haflinger Federation by internationally recognized personalities from the world of equine science and by international adjudicators and selectors. Objective assessment and placing will be undertaken by all adjudicators in the interests of the further development of the world Haflinger breed. |

| The
documentation of the state and development of breeding constitutes the
focal point of the Haflinger World Show, together with a survey of the
magnificent successes hitherto.
At the international show programmes on several days the Haflinger and its uses will be shown to a wide public. Various nations will give their own typical demonstrations. Riding performances will include high level dressage, dressage quadrilles, riding side-saddle, Spanish dressage and Western riding. The programme will, of course, also include vaulting, the "Hungarian Post", driving from the saddle and dressage on the long reins. Driving will be demonstrated in various shows, ranging from one to six-in-hand and from obstacle driving to fast marathon quadrilles. Traditional teams will provide a historical reference to the origins of the Haflinger breed in the 19th century. |
