Tour - Fohlenhof Ebbs
Fohlenhof Ebbs is a large, modern stud farm with around 100 Haflingers and is located in the idyllic village of Ebbs at the foot of the Zahmer Kaiser. 2 modern riding halls, several stable buildings with approx. 100 boxes and stables for the young stallions, a stadium, the Fohlenhof Arena with over 3500 seats as well as an administration and residential building form the heart of the traditional stud farm. Around 3 hectares of paddocks, a driving area with dressage arena and a lunging and horse walker round off the stud farm next to Wagrain Castle in Ebbs.

The Fohlenhof Ebbs, the oldest Haflinger stud farm in the world, is the most important Haflinger stud farm and centre of international Haflinger breeding. It is open daily for tours.
From October to May there are around 100 Haflinger horses in the foal stables and in the summer months, when the young horses are on the pastures, you can visit the herds of mares with their foals and the stallions.
During this time there are still almost 100 horses, including the most famous Haflinger horses in the world, with all the reigning world and European champions of the last 10 years. From the Fohlenhof, the Haflinger has conquered the world. The Tyrolean Association and its sales centre have sold Haflingers in almost 60 countries to date.
In addition to Mondays, the purebred mares and stallions can also be seen every day in use and in training.

Of course, you can also use the Haflinger as a riding and driving horse all day long in the indoor and various outdoor arenas. Even in bad weather, Fohlenhof Ebbs is an ideal excursion destination, as most of the attractions are covered.
However, the highlight of a visit is the Friday evening show, where the universal usability of the Haflinger is demonstrated in around 60 minutes with up to 15 different programme items. You can see dressage, from the quadrille to the stallion, from the side saddle to the long reins. Of course, breeding will also be covered, with world champion horses presented and mares and their foals on show. Obedience tests, horse football and the Hungarian post will also be on show, as will Haflinger show jumping and vaulting. Of course, driving is not neglected either and is shown in this impressive show, where there is never a dull moment. The expert commentary provides an insight into what is shown, the Haflinger breed and the charm it has retained through pure breeding.
