The holder of the highest award granted by the Tyrolean Haflinger Breeding Association, “Honorary Stallion”, is liz.200/T Abendstern, three-time world champion and twice European champion, known to every Haflinger breeder worldwide. Certainly one of the most successful Haflingers, he was reared at the Fohlenhof and comes from the mare L14483/T Dorlis and the stallion liz.101/T Amadeus, who is also well known. His progeny, some of which are abroad, such as the nine stallions selected in Tyrol, the four quality mares, and the ten elite mares, are characterised by their noble heads, good foundation and excellent motion, which is obviously inherited from his ancestors.
